Avon Middle School has been associated with Campus Impact for two years. I have known its Director, Todd Walts for nearly a decade.
Our school has used the Campus Impact program in two ways. First, we have had Campus Impact train our entire staff on the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program model. Secondly, we have utilitzed their on-campus services once a month in terms of their staff entering the classroom and training students on a variety of topics that deal with respect, character, diversity, anti-bullying behaviors, and so on.
I have found the programs that Campus Impact offers to be both effective and relevant to the issues which students face in and out of school. The content is excellent and thorough - taught on a systematic basis in order to be most effective in reaching the students. Overall, the student body has been very positive in their interactions with the Campus Impact staff as well as in their comments about the program and what it means to them. The AMS staff has been very pleased with the dynamics and results of the program thus far.
In reference to the personnel of Campus Impact, I have found them to be professional, practical, flexible, dedicated, open to suggestions and able to relate well to the students. Moreover, their presentations are creative, varied, and thought-provoking.
