Girls that Bully: Relational Aggression

Relational Aggression: Girls that bully

A morning with Susan Fee, M.Ed., LPC Author, Professional Counselor, Speaker

Susan is the author of the Circle of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Facilitators Guide. The Circle of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. program is a personal development series for girls ages 8-14 designed to encourage self-discovery and skill building in five core areas:

Positive self-image, healthy friendships, conflict resolution and communication, emotional strength and stress management

Ms. Fee is also the author of Help! My Roommate is Driving Me Crazy and Dealing with Mean Girls: A Parent’s Guide to Teaching Girls How to Survive Difficult Friendships and she specializes in girls wellness.

Girls’ friendships can be complex. One day they’re planning sleepovers and the next day, they’re not talking. Perhaps your daughter is the target of mean girls who are attacking her with dirty looks and vicious gossip. Or, maybe she has difficulty making friends and feels socially isolated. It’s hard to stand by and watch your girls suffer. Your protective instincts tell you to do something, but what?

You will learn how to:

Spot the warning signs of relational aggression (mean girl behavior)

Support versus save

Determine appropriate interventions

Encourage resiliency and coping skills

Audiences can smell a canned speech a mile away. Susan is a speaker who is smart, funny, and fresh. People are instantly engaged with Susan's subtle mixture of poignancy and humor. And nothing is canned.

Join Susan as she shares her knowledge of the emotional lives of girls including, ''Frenemies'' Understanding Relational Aggression, BFF! (Except When We're Not) Developing Healthy Friendships (for girls) and Helping Our Daughters Choose Healthy Relationships.
